Can’t believe I gain 22 pounds between Oct 2025 and January 2026. Baby when I stepped on that scale I wanted to cry. I felt like all my hard work went down the drain. I had gotten down to 215 pound in 2025 but due to lifestyle changes and stress I did gain some of the weight back but I was maintain in between 225 to 235. Which is typically for me.

So imagine my shock when I weight myself 3 months later and I gained 22 pounds ='( I without a down blame my last relationship lol. But seriously I think the stress I was under from that relationship and from work just hindered me in my progress and I gain a significant amount of weight back without even realizing it.

We back on track now tho. To help me get my eating habits back under control I paid for the meal service with Tempo (done through Home Chef). I used to e anti-meal prep services but now I see the true benefit with them. I bought 14 meals initially but this last time I only bought 8 meals since I have a mini fridge and I didn’t want all the space I had to be taken up by the meals.

I love that you can curate your meals to fit your lifestyle or eating restrictions. I focus my meals on being lower carb, high protein, and high fiber. I also wanted to try to start the anti inflammatory diet to see if that would help me with my stubborn areas as I’ve seen it do for others. I felt like Tempo melas would best help with that to take the brain work out of it for me. That way I have no excuse to not stay on track

Now let’s talk the flavor and taste. then are really good in flavors and the taste is great. I can tell everything is freshly made as stated by the company. I heat my meals up for 3 minutes in the microwave and I am good to go. It makes it way more convenient for me since I work an overnight job and would buy junk food to satisfy my hunger since that was all that I could get my hand on at that time of night.

So far I have only disliked one of the meals I’ve bought. It was the Poblano Cream Chicken. Although all the ingredients are things that I like, I think the combo of it all together just wasn’t my vibe. Do let this discourage you though. Even one has different taste buds and you might love it. It even had sweet potatoes as a side, which I just started eating sweet potatoes thanks to Tempo, so it shocked me that I didn’t like them in this particular meal. Now I also have no like their green beans. Not because they were nasty or anything but I just am used to having boiled green beans so its a texture issue for me. Flavor wise though they are good.

Now the meals I’ve loved the most so far have been: Garlic Cream Turkey Meatballs, Zesty Lemon Dill Diced Chicken, Spicy Southwest Salmon, BBQ Bacon Grilled Chicken, and BBQ Pulled Pork Sweet Potato Skillet. These have been my top favorites! I wish you could reorder the exact some meal week by week but the meal selections doo change weekly. some meal will carry over into the next week options but not all.

Now cost wise it really just depends on you. Some meals are cheaper than others and some cost more. They usually range between $10-23 per meal. Which can seem expensive but considering I would spend that same amount on fast food per meal through a given week this would be the better alternative. My total per order is usually $100 to $130 depending on how many meals I ordered, discounts, and if I order and of the extras. When I first signed up I go 50 or 60 % off and now every meal order after is 10% off. That is also why ordered 14 meals in my first order and 8 in my most recent order.

I like that you can skip the weeks you don’t wish to order with no penalty for it. My only concern is that one week I will forget I even have the meal service and get charged for meals that I might not want or need at that moment. However, I will just try to make sure I set reminders so I don’t forget. I also like that I can unskip a week if I change my mind and want to order. I am not sure if there is a limit on how much you can order, like a minimum or maximum amount, but I am sure it is listed in their FAQs.

I really love how swift their customer service is as well. This past week, I was missing some of the extra items I ordered. I contacted customer service through their online chat. I was able to quickly get through to a rep and they resolved the matter in no time. I was refunded right away as well. Turns out the extra items I ordered were out of stock so that is why they were not in my box.

Overall, I definitely would recommend Tempo meal prep service. So far it has been well worth the money. So far I am planning on ordering every 2 weeks or so. Just to keep my spending low. So far so good. I can see the weight coming off again. Slowly but surely.
