Save money with Payment Plans

They way I will try to use Affirm, Klarna, Afterpay or Sezzle for all my purchases should be studied lol. I refuse to spend cash on an thing I can use credit for. This has helped me grow my savings tremendously. However, I do tend to over spend because I know I will have a payment plan instead of one large lump sum. I’ working on getting better at that though. I plan on prioritizing strictly using payment installment so I can go with using cash on anything unless I have to like for my care note and insurance. I can only use my bank account to pay for those.

I love that they more you use these platforms the higher your spending power/limit gets. Everyone’s limit growth depends on them and their consistency with paying back on time, amount you borrow, etc. So far though I’ve had major increases with all of them that I use. What I plan on doing is keeping a budget of how much I can afford or be willing to pay month for the installments. Example, I can have a total of installments per month of $150 which can be like anywhere from 7 to 10 purchases for me. Maybe even more depending on what all I am getting. I try to mainly use Affirm since I can do month plans and I don’t start payment until the following month plus without a downpayment. If I do bi-weekly, I try to keep the amount $10 or lower and only do those type of installments sparingly since that’s more money out at a faster rate than monthly.

My goal Is to get to the point where I save up at least $5000 this year for major investment and fall back money, in case of job lost, nee for car repairs, etc.
